Villy Doctor was born in Bombay, now Mumbai, on 25th August, 1951 to Parsi (Zorastrian) parents and she grew up with strong spiritual values. A brilliant student, she graduated from a premier educational institute of the city , St. Xavier's College, went on to take a Master’s degree in psychology and followed it up with doctoral work on 'Psycho-biological changes through meditation'. She joined St. Xavier’s College as a senior lecturer, was invited by Nirmala Niketan a women's college, as a visiting professor to teach post graduate students ‘Personality theory and Development'
Compassionate, gentle, humble, giving and committed. She is our founder - Villy Doctor. She has dedicated herself to transforming the lives of under-privileged people. Restoring to them the light of dignity and self-respect.
During her teaching years she ran a counseling and vocational guidance centre that helped young people to overcome drug addiction, alcoholism and personal emotional problems.
Simultaeneously, her interest was captured by the state of the mind in meditation and she studied the various schools of thought on meditation as a 'Science in the Methodology of Personal Development'.
After marriage she instituted 'Ormax' a market research company along with her husband, that ranks among the leading three in the country today. She worked with 'Ormax' for 10 years.
Delving more into the mind in meditation she developed it as a stress relief therapy.
Villy is a highly creative person and brings to her work professionalism with understanding and sensitivity.
She has conducted several workshops in Stress Management at the request of noted organisations.

  • April 2002: 3-M, a multinational, invited her to conduct a Stress Management workshop for their Executives.
  • April 2001: Khatmandu, Nepal. Workshop for ex-patriots.
Villy Doctor’s stress management programmes are much sort after and she is invited abroad frequently to conduct them.

Chairperson and Managing Trustee:
She graduated from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai and took her Master’s degree in Psychology. She joined St. Xavier’s College as a senior lecturer, was invited by Nirmala Niketan as a visiting professor to teach 'Personality Development and Theory' to post-graduate students and finally accepted the post of head of department at the Sophia College which she held for a decade.
 
Ms. Gayatri Ruia
Is an energetic entrepreneur with excellent media and communication skills which she also brings to the field of Art. She is responsible for the development of Pheonix High Street. She is a trustee of Aakar Charitable Trust which promotes water conservation and water harvesting.
 
Jitendra Mehta
Is a leading businessman and Chairman of Special Projects – Rotary Club of Bombay. He has been involved in the adoption of villages affected by the earthquake in Gujarat and has been responsible for raising funds for the tsunami victims. He assists the trust in financial matters.
 
Sujal Shroff
He is a member of the Managing Committee of the Maharashta Chamber of Housing the leading developer body for Mumbai and the state. He brings his expertise to our project management.
 
Manoj Murrarka
A noteworthy entrepreneur in the field of financial instruments and heads B&K Securities. He has a strong philanthropic background and advises the trust on management and governance.
